The Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia, together with the United Nations Development Programme Cambodia, held a launch event for Detailed Guidance for Issuing Green, Social, and Sustainability Bonds. The new guidance expands Cambodia’s existing green bond issuance framework to cover social bonds and sustainability bonds, widening the scope of the country’s sustainable finance toolkit for capital market participants. The guidance supplements the Detailed Guidance for Issuing Green Bonds introduced in 2022 with support from the Asian Development Bank. In the launch materials, the regulator linked the broader framework to the development of Cambodia’s sustainable investment market and to financing aligned with the country’s Sustainable Development Goals.
