The Commodity Futures Trading Commission announced that Clark Hutchison will depart the agency on 15 January, stepping down as Director of the Division of Clearing and Risk after serving in the role since July 2019. In the position, Hutchison managed the team responsible for supervising derivatives clearinghouses and their members, including oversight of clearing processes through risk assessment and surveillance. Chairman Rostin Behnam credited him with guiding the Commission through periods of market growth, historic volatility and significant changes in market structure, and Hutchison said he has no announced plans following his departure.
