The Republic of Serbia Securities Commission reported that it held a workshop, in cooperation with the OSCE Mission to Serbia, on money laundering, terrorist financing and proliferation financing in the capital market. The event was aimed at participants in the capital market and digital assets sector and focused on newer forms of financial crime, their criminal, economic and regulatory consequences, and the role of the Commission and supervised entities in protecting market integrity. More than 80 representatives attended, including custodians, management companies, investment firms, credit institutions and providers of services related to digital tokens, alongside students from the University of Belgrade. The programme also covered the economic and legal aspects of market abuse, practical anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing challenges, analysis of market manipulation, and the regulatory frameworks applied in practice, with presentations from university experts, the Commission, the Belgrade Stock Exchange and market participants.
