Zo Razafindrakoto, chief of staff to the minister, set out the ministry’s position during National Social Security Day, which also marked CNaPS’s 70th anniversary. As CNaPS’s supervising ministry, the ministry monitors its finances and reserves, which Razafindrakoto characterized as public funds because they derive from worker and employer contributions. Its modernization priorities include improving pensions and benefits, strengthening controls and audits, and using technology to make services more accessible. The ministry also identified expanded coverage, particularly for agricultural workers, as a central objective.
