The Argentina Securities Commission (CNV) hosted a meeting in Buenos Aires with a delegation of members of the United States House of Representatives and officials from the US Embassy in Argentina to discuss Argentina’s recent regulatory developments in the capital markets, including the regulation of Virtual Asset Service Providers (PSAVs) and the tokenization regime. The meeting was requested by the US diplomatic mission and was attended by CNV president Roberto E. Silva, vice president Sonia Salvatierra, and directors Laura Herbón and Manuel Calderón, alongside CNV staff working on international affairs and PSAV supervision. The US delegation was led by House Financial Services Committee chair French Hill and included Representatives Warren Davidson, Troy Downing, Tim Moore, Janelle Bynum and Don Davis, with Embassy participation including economic counselor Matthew Stokes. CNV leadership highlighted the rules it has promoted and approved in PSAVs and tokenization, and noted the value of exchange with US officials; the congressional delegation had met the previous day with President Javier Milei, Economy Minister Luis Caputo, Central Bank of Argentina governor Santiago Bausili, and Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein.
