The National Bank of Ethiopia announced the appointment of H.E. Dr. Eyob Tekalign Tolina as its new Governor. Dr. Eyob most recently served as State Minister at the Ministry of Finance and previously held a ministerial role in charge of the National Planning Commission. His experience also includes work with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa, COMESA, UNCTAD, the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, as well as a private sector role as a director at SGI Frontier Capital. He holds a master’s degree from George Washington University and a PhD in Political Economy from the University of Maryland School of Public Policy.
