(CFPI) under liquidation effective 05 May 2025, under Section 50 of Republic Act No. 9829 (the Pre-Need Code of the Philippines), and named Atty. Jose A. Barcelon as the IC-appointed liquidator. Planholders are directed to verify their names through CFPI’s online verification portal, and claimants or planholders whose names do not appear are required to file their claims with the liquidator with supporting documents detailing each claim’s character, basis and amount. The notice states that claims must be filed by 16 September 2025 (described as 120 days from the last publication of the notice on 16 May 2025); claims filed after that date will be barred from the normal liquidation proceedings and instead referred to the company for reconsideration in its dissolution and winding-up proceedings. The Commission also clarified that CFPI is separate from Caritas Health Shield, Inc. (under receivership before the Commission) and Caritas Life Insurance Corporation (under conservatorship), and that the Notice of Stay Order and Directive dated 25 April 2024 remains effective until the liquidation is terminated or further notice.
