The Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has announced indexation of annual and other regulatory fees payable under the laws it administers, effective 1 January 2026. The updated tariffs are set out in notices published in the Gazette officielle du Québec and in the AMF Bulletin, and will also be posted on the AMF website. Fees under the Securities Act (Chapter II of Title VI of the Securities Regulation), the Insurers Act-related frameworks (including regulations under the Act respecting insurance, financial services cooperatives, deposit institutions and deposit protection, and trust and savings companies), and the Derivatives Act will be adjusted by 2.05%. Fees under the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services and the Voluntary Retirement Savings Plans Act will be adjusted by 2.4%, based on the rate of increase in the general Consumer Price Index for Canada for the period ending 30 September 2025; the AMF notes these indexed fees are not subject to the cap under Quebec’s act limiting indexation of several government tariffs.
