Bank of Finland has announced that members of its Board will join the Parliamentary Supervisory Council's visit to Washington D.C. and New York on 3–8 May 2026. The delegation is scheduled to meet senior management of the Federal Reserve System, the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and the International Monetary Fund, and to visit the US Department of the Treasury, the New York Stock Exchange, research institutes and financial sector representatives. The discussions will cover the outlook for the US and global economies, US monetary and fiscal policy, recent trends in the financial sector and the international financial system, Americans' views on global economic challenges in light of increased geopolitical tensions, and the outlook for financial markets. Antti Lindtman, chairman of the Parliamentary Supervisory Council, will lead the trip, which will also include five council members, the council's adviser and secretaries, and the members of the Bank of Finland Board.
