The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market (NSSMC) met the EU Delegation to Ukraine to review the Commission’s work and deepen cooperation, including support under the Ukraine Facility aimed at strengthening the regulator’s capacity for state regulation and supervision. The discussion focused on institutional changes following the entry into force of Law No. 3585-IX and on technical assistance to harmonise Ukrainian financial market legislation with European standards and international practice. NSSMC officials also briefed the delegation on applications submitted to join the International Organization of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MMoU) and the Extended EMMoU, positioning accession as a step that, alongside broader international cooperation, would improve market surveillance and investor protection. Following the meeting, the parties confirmed readiness to work together on joint projects to bring Ukrainian legislation in line with EU law.
