Gold and gold receivables totaled EUR 1.233 trillion, while monetary policy lending to euro area credit institutions stood at EUR 28.176 billion. On the liability side, monetary policy-related liabilities to euro area credit institutions totaled EUR 2.333 trillion. This comprised EUR 2.005 trillion in the deposit facility and EUR 328.179 billion in current accounts covering the minimum reserve system. Banknotes in circulation amounted to EUR 1.634 trillion. Capital and reserves may be negative for individual national central banks because the item includes accumulated losses carried forward.
