The Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) hosted a high-level meeting in Hong Kong with a delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, focused on exchanging updates on their respective financial markets and discussing capital market development strategies. The Laos delegation was led by the Lao Securities Commission Office Secretary-General, Phengsy Phengmuong, and the Lao Securities Exchange Chief Executive Officer, Siosavath Thirakul. Alongside the senior-level discussions, the visit included technical sharing sessions with SFC executives covering the SFC’s strategic priorities, supervision of listed companies, sustainable finance and investor education.
