The Egypt Financial Regulatory Authority and the Egypt National Post Authority have signed an agreement enabling the use of Baridi registered email for official communications between the regulator and entities under its supervision. The service will provide a secure channel for sending and receiving regulatory notices, decisions, reports, disclosures and other documents with legal or regulatory effect, replacing paper based registered mail over time. Communications issued through the system will have the same legal effect as registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt. Baridi verifies the identities of senders and recipients, records sending and receipt times, protects messages and attachments against loss or unauthorized alteration, and creates digital evidence of delivery. The regulator will update the regulatory frameworks for nonbank financial activities to permit use of the system, notify supervised entities of its availability and support phased adoption through technical integration and workshops.
