The Polish Financial Supervision Commission (KNF) published a speech by its Chair, Jacek Jastrzebski, delivered at the opening of a meeting of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) Board of Supervisors and Management Board held in Warsaw on 17–18 June 2025. The KNF-hosted meeting, linked to Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union in the first half of 2025, brings together heads of capital market supervisory authorities from EU Member States and EEC countries, alongside representatives of ESMA and the European Commission. The agenda covers ESMA management matters, work on legislative proposals and issues seen as important for the future of EU capital markets supervision, including Level 3 legislative proposals in the areas of UCITS and EMIR 3, challenges around supervisory convergence under the MiCA Regulation, and disclosure and reporting of information on ESG objectives.
