The Reserve Bank of India has issued a revised Master Circular on “Exposure Norms and Statutory / Other Restrictions” for Primary (Urban) Co-operative Banks, consolidating the applicable regulatory instructions and updating the compilation through 31 March 2025. The revised circular supersedes the prior master circular issued in January 2024, which had consolidated instructions issued up to 15 January 2024. RBI notes that the master circular is purely a consolidation of existing instructions (listed in an annex) and does not introduce any new instructions or guidelines.
