The World Federation of Exchanges has launched its 12th annual Ring the Bell for Gender Equality campaign, bringing together more than 110 exchanges and central counterparties worldwide around International Women’s Day to highlight the importance of advancing gender equality in financial markets. Participating exchanges and clearing houses will host bell-ringing ceremonies, events and workshops over the coming week. The campaign aligns with the International Women’s Day theme 'Give to Gain' and the UN Women theme 'Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL women and girls', and is supported through partnerships with the International Finance Corporation, the UN Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative, the UN Global Compact and UN Women. The WFE also published its 2026 WFE Women Leaders List and a special Focus Magazine edition dedicated to this year’s honourees.
