The Bank of Portugal issued a public warning that the entity “PRESTUGAL - Empréstimos Financeiros em Portugal”, operating through https://prestugal.com/, is not authorised to carry out lending in Portugal or any other financial activity subject to the Bank’s supervision. It recalled that lending, as defined in Article 4(1)(b) of the Legal Framework of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies (Decree-Law No 298/92), may only be performed by authorised undertakings under Article 10 of that framework. The Bank noted that the list of authorised entities is available on its website.

Bank of Portugal warns PRESTUGAL website operator is not authorised to grant credit in Portugal
The Bank of Portugal issued a warning that "PRESTUGAL - Empréstimos Financeiros em Portugal" is not authorised to conduct lending or any financial activities under its supervision. Lending activities are restricted to authorised entities as per the Legal Framework of Credit Institutions and Financial Companies. A list of authorised entities is available on the Bank's website.
