The U.S. House Committee on Financial Services announced the INVEST Act, a bipartisan legislative package that consolidates more than 20 bills reported out of the Committee and aimed at supporting capital formation, investor access, and small business financing. The Committee expects the House of Representatives to consider the package next week. The package was unveiled by Committee Chairman French Hill, Capital Markets Subcommittee Chair Ann Wagner, and Reps. Gregory Meeks and Josh Gottheimer. It draws on legislation marked up by the full Committee across multiple sessions in May, June, July, and September 2025, and includes Rep. Gottheimer’s Senior Security Act, described as creating a dedicated enforcement focus to protect seniors from financial scams.
