The Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Ontario has issued a notice of proposal initiating enforcement action against Ananthie Alex, proposing to refuse to renew her mortgage agent level 1 licence. FSRA alleges Alex is not suitable to be licensed under the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act and its regulations, citing past conduct that provides reasonable grounds to believe she would not deal or trade in mortgages in accordance with the law and with integrity and honesty. Alex has requested a hearing before the Financial Services Tribunal on the proposal.
