On the sidelines, bilateral meetings with Banque de France Governor François Villeroy de Galhau and Monetary Authority of Singapore Managing Director Chia Der Jiun covered global economic and financial conditions, central bank policy operations amid recent geopolitical and geo-economic developments, and potential areas for closer cooperation including banking supervision and the development of international financial centres. The delegation also held technical-level exchanges with BIS departments on monetary policy operations, BIS principles and guidance for central banks, and the role and market segment of small-scale cooperative credit institutions within the broader credit institution system.
