The Thailand Securities and Exchange Commission has added a new access channel for its “SEC Check First” pre-investment verification tool by making it available through the Cyber Crime Investigation Bureau’s “Cyber Check” application from 3 April 2025. The change is intended to make it easier for investors to confirm whether individuals, firms and products are licensed or approved under SEC supervision in both the capital market and digital asset market. Through the integrated access, Cyber Check users can run SEC Check First searches for supervised business operators and approved securities or digital asset products. Cyber Check also provides checks on phone numbers and bank account numbers and verifies various online identifiers (including LINE accounts, URLs, Facebook pages, TikTok accounts and SMS messages) based on CCIB-verified information, with results displayed using red, yellow and green categories reflecting legal action history, complaints or verified identity.
