The Central Bank of Madagascar announced that Harold Tavares, executive director representing Africa Group II on the World Bank Group’s Board of Executive Directors, will visit Madagascar on July 29 and 30. The mission will focus on strengthening cooperation with the government and assessing the country’s development priorities for consideration at the board level. Tavares will meet the prime minister, government members, the central bank governor and the World Bank Group’s Madagascar team. He will also visit World Bank Group-supported projects in water, energy and urban development.
