The Central Bank of Peru published data showing remittances sent by Peruvians abroad totalled USD 5,368 million in 2025, an increase of USD 434 million (11.7%) compared with the previous year. Remittances in 2025 were equivalent to 1.6% of gross domestic product (GDP), broadly unchanged from the prior year. In quarterly terms, inflows reached USD 1,428 million in the fourth quarter of 2025, USD 150 million higher than in the same period of 2024, with the United States remaining the main source.
