Mexico's National Commission for the Protection and Defence of Users of Financial Services (CONDUSEF) opened the in-person programme of the 18th National Financial Education Week (SNEF), positioning it as the country’s flagship public event to strengthen household financial capabilities. The free event runs 23–26 October (09:00–17:00) at the Monumento a la Revolución and brings together more than 88 stands from 76 institutions spanning the public, private, social, educational and financial sectors, including banking, insurance, retirement savings and digital finance. The on-site programme is organised around four themed areas focused on practical money management: “Fortaleza” (spending and debt management), “Perseverancia” (saving, prevention and insurance), “Certeza” (financial planning to meet goals) and “Plenitud” (retirement building and financial freedom). Speakers at the opening underscored themes including behavioural and day-to-day financial education, responsible consumption for young people, the role of technology in inclusion, risk awareness alongside credit use, and the importance of a gender-focused approach to financial education. Alongside the in-person programme, SNEF 2025 includes a digital version available until 31 December 2025, with online conferences, interactive workshops and digital tools, including an SNEF Game. CONDUSEF also referenced 764 conferences delivered through the CEFIE platform with access across 318 campuses nationwide, and activities aimed at Mexican communities abroad in coordination with Mexico’s representations in other countries.
