Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority has published its first-half 2026 report on financing for micro, small and medium enterprises, establishing a semiannual source of granular data to support regulatory, policy and business decisions. The report covers financing growth and quality across financial sectors, economic segments and regions, supplemented by monthly infographics and more detailed information through the authority’s data portal. Total MSME financing reached IDR 1,949 trillion in July 2026, up 3.09% from a year earlier. Banks remained the primary source with an 82.62% share, while financing companies, venture capital firms, microfinance institutions and other financial services institutions accounted for 17.3% and recorded 9.92% financing growth. The authority said the broader range of funding sources allows financing to be better matched to businesses’ characteristics, needs and stages of development.
