The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) publicised the schedule for the 12th National Financial Education Week (Semana ENEF), which will run from 12 to 18 May 2025 under the theme “Financial Education for Children and Young People: Preparing Society for Conscious Choices”. Organised by the Brazilian Financial Education Forum (FBEF), the week brings together free initiatives nationwide to promote financial, insurance, pension and tax education, with a focus on children, adolescents and young people. Institutions from all sectors are invited to contribute with their own activities or in partnership with FBEF members. Suggested formats include teaching basic finance from early childhood, training educators, promoting dialogue on financial education at school and at home, and encouraging healthy financial habits and responsible choices among young people. While the theme is intended as guidance rather than a constraint, initiatives must follow the National Financial Education Strategy’s guidelines, including acting in the public interest and prohibiting the offer of products and services during activities. Organisers indicated that details on how to register initiatives in the official event calendar will be released soon, and interested institutions can begin planning their actions.
