The Monitoring Group, chaired by the International Organization of Securities Commissions, appointed Ryan Wolfe as its Chair with immediate effect. Wolfe is the Acting Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The Monitoring Group brings together international financial institutions and regulatory bodies to advance the public interest in international audit and assurance-related standard-setting and audit quality. Wolfe has more than 20 years of experience as a professional accountant and consultant in regulatory oversight roles. He succeeds Paul Munter, who served as Co-Chair from June 2021 to April 2023 and Chair from April 2023 to January 2025, and who retired as U.S. SEC Chief Accountant in January 2025.
