The Central Bank of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a further round of meetings with 11 commercial banks to develop a “Strategy for Providing Financial Services to Support Women’s Entrepreneurship”, as part of the implementation of Presidential Decree No. PP-103 on strengthening support for families and women. A separate strategy meeting in May involved Hamroh, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and banks active in this area, including Xalq Bank and Microcreditbank. Discussions covered the development of tailored financial products, training programmes and mentorship initiatives for women entrepreneurs, and identified priority areas to advance the draft strategy document.
