The Financial Planning Standards Board will hold the 10th annual World Financial Planning Day on Oct. 7, 2026, as part of the International Organization of Securities Commissions’ World Investor Week. The campaign will promote financial planning, financial education and consumer protection through activities across 11 markets. The program will include pro bono financial planning clinics, educational events and the release of global findings from the board’s 2026 study on artificial intelligence in financial planning. The research examines consumers’ use of AI generated financial information and planners’ use of AI to improve efficiency and client service, alongside the continuing role of professional judgment, ethical responsibility and human understanding. The board has also released videos on the everyday and less recognized benefits of financial planning.
