The European Securities and Markets Authority has appointed Peter Tkáč of Národná Banka Slovenska as a new member of its Management Board. He was elected by the Board of Supervisors on 30 June 2026 to replace Ante Žigman of Croatia’s financial services supervisory agency HANFA, whose mandate ended on 19 June 2026. Tkáč will serve the remainder of the outgoing member’s term until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of renewal. From 1 July 2026, he joins a Management Board chaired by ESMA Chair Verena Ross. The board is responsible for ensuring that ESMA carries out its mission and performs the tasks assigned to it under its founding regulation.

The European Securities and Markets Authority has appointed Peter Tkáč of Národná Banka Slovenska to its Management Board. He replaces Ante Žigman and will serve the remainder of the term until 31 March 2027, with the possibility of renewal. The change takes effect from 1 July 2026.
