The Brazil Securities Commission (CVM) extended to 10 October 2025 the deadline for submitting suggestions and comments on its public consultation to amend the rules on primary and secondary public offerings of securities and the trading of offered securities in regulated markets. The original deadline was 19 September 2025. The proposed amendments consolidate targeted adjustments identified by the CVM during the application and supervision of the current framework, as well as suggestions from market participants. The consultation covers, among other topics, obligations of debtors and co-obligors in securitisation transactions, the use of economic and financial indicators in debt offerings, allocation of expenses in mixed public offerings, resale of securities issued by previously unregistered issuers that later obtain registration, and updates related to offerings with tax benefits. Submissions are to be sent by email as part of the CVM’s 2025 Regulatory Agenda consultation process.
