The Inter Governmental Action Group against Money Laundering in West Africa has advertised a permanent Administrative and Stores Assistant position within its Directorate of Administration and Finance, based in Dakar, Senegal. The role supports administration, stores management and office operations, including stock availability, supplier and service-provider contract monitoring, asset custody, inventory reporting, facilities maintenance, filing and archiving, insurance administration, and support for transport, meetings and procurement-related processes. The post is offered at grades G3, G4 or G5, with annual salaries of UC 23,895.00, UC 26,768.180 and UC 31,502.30 respectively, equivalent to about USD 37,701.53, USD 42,234.84 and USD 49,704.33. GIABA requires at least a senior technician certificate, associate degree or equivalent in administration and communication, plus a minimum of four years of professional experience in administrative management. Candidates must speak one ECOWAS official language, being English, French or Portuguese, while knowledge of a second official ECOWAS language is an advantage. The notice also states that the position is subject to ECOWAS local recruitment rules for general service posts, meaning recruitment is limited to candidates in the country or within commuting distance of the GIABA Secretariat and does not carry benefits reserved for internationally recruited staff.
