Indonesia's Financial Services Authority (OJK) has launched Financial Literacy Month (Bulan Literasi Keuangan, BLK) 2025 as a new nationwide programme to scale up financial literacy and inclusion outreach across Indonesia. The launch was held alongside a financial education event at Universitas Muhadi Setiabudi in Brebes themed on strengthening young people’s financial capability in the digital era. More than 500 students attended in person and 2,314 joined online from Universitas Panca Sakti and other participants, reflecting OJK’s focus on youth as one of the ten priority target segments under the National Movement for Financial Savvy (GENCARKAN). BLK 2025 is scheduled to run from May through August 2025, with flagship activities including a Financial Literacy Series and a Financial Literacy Campaign, and will close with a Financial Literacy Award. The launch event was also broadcast live by financial services industry participants and OJK regional offices.
