The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ukraine Illicit Finance Capacity Development project to secure international technical assistance for countering illicit financial activity, particularly in the virtual asset market. The agreement is intended to strengthen Ukraine’s regulatory and supervisory framework for virtual assets and support the commission’s work in this area. The cooperation will cover development of virtual asset market regulation, specialist training and exchange of international experience. It will also support the commission’s financial monitoring and supervision of virtual asset service providers. The commission expects the memorandum’s implementation to strengthen its supervisory and financial monitoring work and help reduce money laundering and illicit activity financing risks.
