The Kuwait Capital Markets Authority issued Resolution No. (03) of 2025 amending Article (1-2) in Module Three (Enforcement of the Law) to bring companies listed on the exchange within the scope of the authority’s special-audit powers, in addition to licensed persons. Under the amended provision, the CMA may appoint, or require the relevant entity to appoint, an auditor from the CMA’s registered auditors to prepare a special report on a particular subject related to the entity’s activities. The relevant entity must pay the auditor’s fees and expenses and provide the required documents, information and assistance.
