Norges Bank will make net foreign currency purchases equivalent to NOK 176 million per day in October 2026 through transactions conducted for the government and to finance transfers of dividends and interest to the government. The net amount comprises daily foreign currency purchases of NOK 300 million on behalf of the government, mainly linked to petroleum revenue use and savings in the Government Pension Fund Global, and daily sales of NOK 124 million to finance dividend and interest transfers. The latter transactions form part of NOK 29.4 billion in transfers for the 2025 financial year, with krone purchases spread across eligible trading days from March 2026 through February 2027.
