The Ukraine National Commission on Securities and Stock Market (NSSMC) organised its first simulation session with state authorities and international experts to prepare for a bilateral meeting between Ukraine and the European Commission as part of the EU screening of national legislation. The session focused on Section 6, Corporate Law. Ukrainian participants included representatives of the NSSMC, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Justice, and the Government Office for the Coordination of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, alongside experts from Montenegro, Slovenia and North Macedonia. The discussion covered EU approaches to company formation and registration, mergers and divisions, financial reporting and accounting standards, audit regulation under EU directives, and corporate governance and company disclosure. The Commission indicated that further meetings and consultations with European partners are planned to support preparation for the official assessment of Ukraine’s alignment with EU standards.
