Germany's Federal Financial Supervisory Authority published an update from the Bonn Transport Task Force calling for faster, more pragmatic and better coordinated action to address the city's worsening transport disruption. Mark Branson, president of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority and spokesperson for the task force, warned that bridge and light rail outages are frustrating employees and residents and could cause lasting damage to Bonn as a business location. The task force urged authorities to assess the necessity of individual construction and repair projects to minimize further disruption, particularly ahead of winter. It also called for expansion of the moveBonn workplace mobility management program and stronger regional planning across municipal boundaries, including for new park and ride facilities. The participating employers offered to support Bonn, neighboring municipalities and other responsible bodies in developing and implementing regional transport solutions.
