The Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) announced an organizational restructuring following the planned departure of Operations division head and Executive Board member Alexandra Karg on Nov. 30, 2026. FINMA will streamline and rename the Operations division as Digital and Infrastructure and establish a Business Management and Strategy division to coordinate implementation of the authority’s strategic objectives. Digital and Infrastructure will manage FINMA’s digital, technological and physical infrastructure development. Business Management and Strategy will combine Finance, Human Resources, Communications, the CEO Office and Implementation of Transformation, supporting the CEO and Executive Board and aligning business management with the Board of Directors’ strategy. The Chief Risk Officer will continue to report directly to the CEO. FINMA will advertise two vacant Executive Board positions internally and externally. The current structure will remain until the positions are filled, with the Operations division under interim management from Dec. 1.
