The training, held on 28 July 2025 at the Office of the Chief Government Statistician conference hall, featured remarks from Zanzibar’s Secretary of the Revolutionary Council and Chief Secretary, Zena Said, who called for continued education so citizens can understand the benefits of participating in Takaful, alongside clear and correct information on its principles and operation. Deputy Commissioner of Insurance Khadija Said framed the seminars as part of efforts to build awareness across insurance topics to support inclusive insurance, and the session included stakeholder questions and discussion aimed at strengthening providers’ ability to extend insurance coverage to more citizens.
