The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan published a set of regulatory consents covering six senior appointments in the insurance sector, spanning executive body roles, governing body roles and an independent director position. The approvals covered Karzhaubaev D.M. as an executive body member and other senior officer, Kosbasarov B.E. as an executive body member, Medeubaev M.A. as head and member of the executive body and a member of the governing body, Buribaeva G.A. as head of the executive body and head and member of the governing body, Aitimov A.K. as a governing body member and independent director, and Sagimbaev T.B. as an executive body member. The Agency also reiterated that, under Kazakhstan’s Law on Insurance Activity and subject to meeting qualification requirements, a senior manager who has already received consent to take up a managerial position can be transferred within the same sector to a similar role without obtaining additional consent, and pointed to its insurance-sector register for the list of current consents.

The Agency for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market of the Republic of Kazakhstan granted regulatory consents for six senior appointments in the insurance sector across executive, governing body and independent director roles. It also reiterated that, under Kazakhstan’s Law on Insurance Activity, senior managers who have already received consent may be transferred within the insurance sector to similar positions without additional consent, and referred to its register for the list of current consents.
