The Monetary Authority of Macao has opened applications for the 2025 edition of its financial talent training pilot programme in wealth management, co-organised with the Macao Financial Training Institute and the Macau Association of Banks. The programme combines targeted training with internships to prepare students for wealth management roles in support of Macao’s “1+4” economic diversification strategy. Applications are open until 13 April 2025 and are limited to Macao residents aged over 18 who are university students studying finance or related subjects and interested in wealth management work. The five-week programme runs from 7 July to 8 August and follows a “in-person training plus internship” model, comprising one week of classroom-based wealth management training and four weeks of placements in private banks and wealth management departments at local financial institutions, followed by a final wrap-up session. A total of 25 participants will be selected, with the admission list to be published at the end of May; host institutions will provide an internship allowance based on attendance, and participants who complete the internship will receive certificates.
