The National Bank of Georgia and the Central Bank of Hungary signed a memorandum of understanding establishing a new framework for exchanging expertise and best practices. The agreement advances cooperation discussed earlier in 2026 and was signed during a meeting in Tbilisi between National Bank of Georgia Governor Natia Turnava and Central Bank of Hungary Deputy Governor Peter Beno Banai. The framework covers monetary policy, international reserve management, payment systems, financial services development, and the regulation and supervision of financial institutions.
