The Central Reserve Bank of Peru reported that traditional product exports reached USD 7.112 billion in June 2026, up 30.2% from a year earlier. The increase was driven by a 33.3% rise in export prices, particularly for copper, gold and lead, while hydrocarbon prices also increased alongside international prices linked to the Middle East conflict. Export volumes fell 2.6% because of lower mining production, difficulties shipping copper and zinc concentrates, and the effects of El Niño on fishmeal and fish oil production. In the first half of 2026, traditional exports rose 49.4% year over year to USD 45.715 billion, supported by a 45.2% increase in prices.
