The Caribbean Financial Action Task Force has approved for publication a report on money laundering vulnerabilities in the financial arrangements of non-traditional DNFBPs in the Caribbean region. The report is aimed at the motor vehicle sales sector and is intended to help authorities and other stakeholders better understand and mitigate emerging AML risks in that market. The report was adopted at the CFATF’s 60th Plenary in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad, following 18 months of research and analysis by a project team under the CFATF Risk, Trends and Methods Group. The work was co-led by officials from the Turks and Caicos Islands AML Supervision Department and the Dominica FIU. The report is scheduled for official publication in June 2025.
