The Brazilian Superintendence of Private Insurance (SUSEP) and Brazil's National Treasury Secretariat at the Ministry of Finance held a joint livestream as part of the 12th National Financial Education Week (Semana ENEF), focusing on how Tesouro RendA+ compares with the VGBL and PGBL private pension products. The session discussed the key features, differences, advantages and limitations of each instrument to support more informed long-term financial and retirement planning. SUSEP’s speaker highlighted the role of supplementary pension plans in complementing public pension benefits, and covered practical points on VGBL versus PGBL, including portability and how SUSEP-supervised VGBL/PGBL can be used alongside the National Treasury’s RendA+ product. A recording of the livestream has been made available on SUSEP’s and the National Treasury’s YouTube channels. SUSEP also announced it will participate in a further event with the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro’s Institute of Economics on “Dilemmas of financial inclusion and education”, while Semana ENEF programming continues through 18 May.
