The Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) announced that the Lieutenant Governor in Council has appointed Deanna Steblyk, K.C. as a Vice-Chair, with a term expiring on March 10, 2032, succeeding retiring Vice-Chair Tom Cotter. In the role, Steblyk will also serve as a Commission Member, acting as part of the ASC’s board of directors overseeing management of the Commission and considering and approving changes to Alberta securities laws. The ASC also highlighted Cotter’s 12-year tenure, including his work on precedent-setting panels and his participation in the North American Securities Administrators Association (NASAA).
