The Bank of France announced senior appointments, naming Ivan Odonnat as Director General for Financial Stability and Operations (DGSO) and appointing Alexandre Gautier to head the overseas issuing institutes, IEDOM-IEOM. Odonnat had led IEDOM-IEOM since April 2023, with IEDOM and IEOM carrying out central bank missions in France’s overseas territories, and has previously held roles across the Bank of France’s studies, monetary analysis, financial stability and operational risk functions, including a period as chief economist at Agence France Trésor. Gautier, formerly Deputy Director General of DGSO, succeeds Odonnat as President of IEDOM and Director General of IEOM and will join the Bank of France management committee; his background includes capital markets work at the Prudential Supervision and Resolution Authority (ACPR) and senior market and post-market roles within DGSO, including participation in the Bank for International Settlements Markets Committee and several Eurosystem committees.
