The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency appointed the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as receiver for The Santa Anna National Bank in Santa Anna, Texas, after determining the bank was operating in an unsafe or unsound condition. The action followed findings of substantial dissipation of assets and earnings due to unsafe or unsound practices and that the bank’s assets were less than its obligations to creditors and others. As of March 31, 2025, the bank reported approximately USD 77 million in total assets. The FDIC will release information on the bank’s resolution.
