The Cayman Islands Monetary Authority has amended its Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASP) application form on the REEFS portal to streamline applications for registration, licensing and waivers. The updated form takes effect from 8 July 2025. The revised APP 101-84-05 incorporates additional questions and clarifies document requirements for all applicants, with the stated aim of improving submission completeness and aligning the process with the Virtual Asset Service Provider Act (2024 Revision) and the Virtual Asset (Service Providers) Regulations (2020) as amended. Applicants are expected to follow the form’s Completion Guide. All new VASP applications submitted on or after 8 July 2025 must use the updated form, while applications already in progress as of that date can still be completed and submitted.
